The Rhinecliff Hotel is gone but not forgotten. It was home to many a Hudson Valley band. Some young upstarts that made their bones there and also well known artists looking for a hip new venue.

The Hotel's mystique and charm were steeped in its lack of pretension. Mike Nickerson knows more about it than perhaps any man alive and he chats with Rick Z about the role he played in establishing its reputation.
